I was very honored to have been asked by Brides of Southern California to make a couple playlists for their Fall issue and even more excited when they gave me a full page (well, ok... ALMOST a full page)!

we around here at the flashdance love weddings, i mean we really LOVE weddings! the free wedding was truly a labor of love for everyone involved and when it turned out that i had a family obligation that prevented me from djing, i was really bummed (and when you see the pictures, and read about all of the amazing vendors involved you will understand why!). max, whitney and i decided that the next best thing for the flashdance was to buy and donate all of the booze (i mean if you can't make 'em dance, you can certainly prime the pump! that, and, tecate never got back to us about sponsorship... anyone know someone?) anyway, all of the AH-MAZING! photos and stories are up over at once wed and if i were you i would tell your boss that you need a break (it's gonna take awhile because there are like 10 thousands of pictures AND video!) and click right HERE to see all of the beauty, love, and happiness we all missed out on. bummer days for us, thank goodness for the internets (BTW the first link is one of like 20 so make sure to check out all of the posts).

when it comes to new music i mainly listen to incredibly sad, lonesome, songs that make most people seriously depressed (for some reason it has the exact opposite effect on me!) anyway, i know most people want to listen to upbeat music in the summertime, and with the overwhelming positive feedback from songs for june 2009 i have decided to hold off at least until august on the whiskey drenched tearful ballads that i have been listening to on repeat around here. this latest playlist is by no means feel good pop songs but it should be enough to keep you out of the gutter. if you would like a copy... put your name and e-mail address in the comments below and e-mail me your mailing address HERE & i will send one to the first 10 people via the good old fashioned USPS free of charge. ffffound.com is my favorite site for visual inspiration... it was the first blog i ever subscribed to and i follow it religiously so imagine my surprise when i saw this today! i am so excited that we were featured and so glad it was for something so rad, i mean come on, that's gracyn in a record store digging for vinyl!!! so dope.
